The Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, located in Shiraz, Iran, is truly an artistic master piece. Even more amazing than the intricate designs is what happens every morning when the rays of the rising sun hit the mosque. Every morning as sunlight passes through the windows of the mosque, the interior is transformed into an ocean of colors. This is something you have to see to believe.
Work on the mosque began in 1876 and took 12 years to complete. The designers were Muhammad Hasan-e-Memar and Muhammad Reza Kashi Paz-e-Shirazi.
Its awesome, deserves more credit, never heard of it untill now, why?

The Mosque is most magnificent and superb. I am spell bound.
Work of a great artist.Modern technology cannot boast of or create a masterpiece like that.

Astonishing architectural marvel ! Worths visiting once if God permits.
Breathtakingly beautiful…never seen anything like this before!!
The architects who built this shining Mosque at Shiraz are indeed divinely ordained to create such a masterpiece!
Wish to visit once.
it is highly inspired by our great Hindu architectural structure Tejomahal..later it was ruined and modified by mughal servant Shah Jahan and renamed as Taj-mahal
Simply amazing! A truly wonderful creation of man
words fail! ! suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper ! Thanks for sharing.
Never saw such a magnificent architecture, the mosque deserves more credit and study.
I am sure, just because it is a Islamic structure it is not getting the attention it deserves, that is sad.

very interesting and wonderful art
Amazing & speechless. Thanks for sharing. God bless !
After seeing the photographs, now I believe that once there really was the “hanging gardens” in Iran/Iraq
the suns ray’s shining through the stained glass windows indeed produces a magical collage of colors; however, architecturally this mosque (built in the 1800s) is not much different from Taj Mahal (built 200 yrs. earlier) – just more splash/dash of colors and stained glass.
IT IS AWESOME AND BEAUTIFUL.
It is nothing more than another wonderful temporary material phantasmagoria unless the supreme person or his empowered servant is made the centerpiece.
Al r pic Superb…
Now I have plan for my next trip. I think I go to visit Iran 🙂
fentastic & spactacular
This is what haven must be like…………
amazing. simply, amazing
Exquisite. Marvellous work of art, and wonderful photography to convey to viewers given the (presumably) low light settings in the interiors. Thank you for sharing.
Painting anything living – plant or animal – is haram in islam.
Its a pity not many of us can visit Iran. Heard of many such historical and architectural locations of the great persians.
The reason is not a strict visa regime in Iran…. but a blanket visa ban in the west (North America and Parts of Europe) for even a single time visitor to Iran…
Classic master piece, excellent architecture
Marvel more on the beauty of the minds of the creators.
NO WORDS TO TELL THIS BEAUTY
It is abs fabulous. Congratulations to the people of Iran.
Beautiful tainted glass work !
